Welcome to my Astronomy page!  I've always been fascinated by the stars above for as long as I can remember.  Earlier in 2004, I rediscovered my passion when I stumbled across my old 60mm refractor telescope.  I quickly bought a new scope and, well, who knows where I go from there!  Scroll down this page to see a different section about my hobby.

Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD). Different picture everyday, almost like a "picture of the day", thing.
 

Not only have I rediscovered my passion for observing the moon and planets, I've recently started taking pictures of them!  It's still a work in progress, but I've decided to share my images as I make them.  Some are pretty good, some are just,...how shall we say it?  Let's just say "fun in experimentation".  Below is a small Saturn to whet your appetites!

So, you've seen my pictures, and are now wondering what I'm using?  Since I'm only doing planetary images, it surprisingly doesn't take much!  Just about any telescope can take pictures like mine!   The thing that helps most (besides patience)  is a mount that can track objects in the sky, but even that is not a requirement.  Here in this section I list the inventory of what hardware I'm using....   [MORE]
